As darkness falls, a ghost story becomes reality as guests go beyond the grave in a spectacularly spooky show on Universal Studios’ lagoon, featuring huge water screens and sinister music.
Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights is back for its 31st year with more nights than ever. Running for a record-breaking 43 select nights September 2 through October 31, the world’s premier Halloween event will boast 10 haunted houses, five scare zones and two shows based on everything from horror legends and pop culture heavy-hitters to ghastly original stories that offer a terrifying twist on traditional Halloween haunts – all brought to life in disturbingly immersive experiences that only Halloween Horror Nights could create.
Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights are known to have an icon such as Jack the Clown, The Caretaker, The Director, and few more. This year, there are no official icon. There is unofficial icon that is going around on social media name “Lil Boo” – a pumpkin that you will see in the main strip / scarezone of Halloween Horror Night.
There are more original house than the IP property house. I personally prefer the original house more than the IP house even thou Universal is all about movies and television. It’s a nice break from having to heavily rely on those sources to be “scary.” Universal has an amazing creative team that brings nightmare to life.
The scariest houses for this year will probably be Bug: Eaten Alive. I can’t imagine what the house will entail in the haunt. Will Universal be using live bugs as part of the scare tactic? We will have to see!

Chucky will be back! House inspired by USA Network / SyFY Channel Series, “Chucky”. Stay tune for more update from Universal!
You and your squad will encounter the haunting and overgrown world of Naughty Dog’s video game in a brand-new, terrifying way, as you make your way through an abandoned Pittsburgh. Join Joel and Ellie, and don’t make a sound if you want to survive Clickers, Hunters and more. No matter what, keep finding something to fight for.
