This summer, something extraordinary is taking flight at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Beginning May 2, dragons—yes, dragons—are arriving at Waterfowl Lake for Dragons Landing, a brand-new, limited-time experience featuring over 20 lifelike animatronic creatures that roar, move, and even breathe smoke.
Towering up to 30 feet in length, these mythical beasts bring fantasy to life as they line the scenic lake pathway, creating a one-of-a-kind immersive journey for visitors of all ages. Guests can walk among the dragons and enjoy up-close encounters with creatures straight from the pages of legends.
“Dragons Landing brings an entirely new limited-time adventure to the Zoo, offering guests an up-close, otherworldly experience into the mythical land of dragons,” said Dr. Chris Kuhar, Executive Director of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. “The immersive experience, along with the return of Swan Voyage, offer families more ways to explore the heart of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo this summer.”
Also returning this season is a beloved guest favorite: Swan Voyage, which allows families and friends to paddle around Waterfowl Lake in graceful Trumpeter Swan-shaped boats. Each five-passenger boat offers a peaceful escape right in the center of the Zoo—perfect for a relaxing break between exhibits or an afternoon of summer fun.
Admission and Packages
Both Dragons Landing and Swan Voyage are add-on experiences, with tickets available at multiple locations throughout the Zoo, including the Guest Resource Center and designated attraction stations.
