The fog machines are primed, the sets are lit, and the monsters are waiting. Universal Horror Unleashed is officially opening its doors in Las Vegas next week, and Mundo got an early look inside. Think haunted houses, terrifying set pieces, and interactive scares—except this time, it’s not a seasonal event. This horror experience will be a year-round staple in the city that never sleeps. Las Vegas just got a whole lot creepier.

Pokémon Park Announced

Get ready to dust off your Pokédex. A new Pokémon-themed park has been announced, and while it’s not tied to a major company like Universal or Disney, it’s a huge step toward making the dream of a Pokémon world a reality. Details are still limited, but early concept art hints at themed zones, interactive battles, and immersive rides. For a franchise that’s been part of pop culture for nearly three decades, this is long overdue.

Six Flags CEO Stepping Down

The winds of change are blowing at Six Flags as the company’s CEO prepares to step down. Six Flags has been going through a challenging period—balancing new investments, guest feedback, and operational hiccups. While leadership changes can be rocky, it could also open the door for new ideas, refreshed strategies, and hopefully some positive momentum heading into 2026.

The Beak and Barrel at Magic Kingdom

Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean is about to get a delicious new neighbor. The Beak and Barrel will be an interactive restaurant where diners can expect a mix of live entertainment, pirate banter, and menu items inspired by the seven seas. Imagine sipping a “Black Pearl Brew” while hearing sea shanties and the occasional cannon blast. This will be one dining experience where you might want to keep one hand on your cutlery and the other on your treasure.

Spooky season is starting early in Tampa Bay. This weekend, Busch Gardens is hosting Summer Screams—a bite-sized Halloween celebration for those who just can’t wait until September. Expect haunted mazes, roaming scare actors, and seasonal snacks (pumpkin spice in August? Yes, please). It’s the perfect way to get your haunt fix while wearing shorts and flip-flops.

Yukon Striker @ Canada's Wonderland

Towering above the park, Yukon Striker holds the title of tallest, fastest, and longest dive coaster in the world. This beast drops riders straight down at 90 degrees into an underwater tunnel—definitely not for the faint of heart. Big thanks to _ryanp86 for capturing this epic shot. Give him a follow for more coaster photography gold.

Video of the Week

Le Mystère de La Pérouse at Puy du Fou

This attraction takes “walkthrough” to a whole new level. You’ll find yourself on a massive, rocking ship that’s actually sinking, with water flooding in from every angle. The attention to detail is mind-blowing—from the creak of the deck to the splash under your feet. If more parks built attractions like this, we’d all be getting season passes.
