There’s only three weeks until Halloween, and while it’s been a quieter week across the theme park world, there are still some noteworthy updates worth talking about. From ticket changes to festive returns and a big debut on the horizon, here’s what’s happening this week!

Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World announced this week that admission tickets and annual passes will see price increases beginning next month, carrying into 2026. While ticket price hikes are nothing new, this one caught attention for the timing—just ahead of the holiday rush. For frequent visitors, the annual pass jump is especially important to note, as tiers across both resorts are seeing adjustments. It’s another reminder that visiting Disney parks remains a premium experience, though many fans argue the magic is worth it.

Mark your calendars—Universal Orlando’s Holidays Celebration is back from November 21 through January 4. Guests can expect the return of Grinchmas, Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, and plenty of festive food and entertainment. But the bigger twist this year is that Epic Universe—yes, the brand-new park—will also be joining in on the holiday fun with its own seasonal makeover. No details yet on exactly what the holiday overlay will look like, but it’s a clear sign Universal wants Epic Universe to shine right out of the gate.

We’re just weeks away from the grand opening of Zootopia: Better Zoogether! at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The star of the attraction isn’t just Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde—it’s also the debut of an all-new Clawhauser Audio-Animatronic figure, bringing the bubbly cheetah to life with Disney’s cutting-edge technology. Fans are hyped to experience Zootopia in a fully immersive way, and the addition is a major milestone for Animal Kingdom as it continues to evolve beyond its original lineup of attractions.

Netflix House Philadelphia officially opens its doors on November 12, giving fans the chance to step into immersive environments inspired by Netflix favorites. The general admission entry will be free, letting visitors explore the space at no cost. However, premium activities like themed escape rooms and dining experiences will require tickets. With Philly as the launch city, fans are already wondering if Netflix will expand this concept to more locations nationwide.

Six Flags announced a major leadership shift earlier this week as Executive Chairman Selim Bassoul and Lead Independent Director Daniel J. Hanrahan will step down at the end of the year. Starting January 1, 2026, Marilyn Spiegel will take on the role of non-executive Chair of the Board of Directors. It’s a big governance move meant to set the company up for its next chapter. While these changes may sound corporate, they do trickle down—shaping future park decisions, investments, and long-term strategy.

Big thanks to @slayneandfog for sharing an amazing collection of photos from Dollywood’s Harvest Festival! This seasonal event transforms the park with glowing pumpkins, fall foliage, and a warm autumn vibe that makes it one of the most scenic events in the country. Dollywood has a way of elevating the natural beauty of fall, and someday I’m hoping to plan a trip during this season to soak it all in.
Take a ride on Megalodon, the coaster with a quirky seaside-crab shack vibe at Walibi Belgium. The theming is lighthearted and fun—imagine Joe’s Crab Shack meets roller coaster! The layout itself isn’t over-the-top intense but delivers just the right balance of thrills. Big shout out to XtremeCoasters Network for the awesome POV that captures the ride experience perfectly.
There’s a slight schedule change for Credit Roll. In the past two months, it’s dropped on Fridays alongside Spot Talk, but to space out the heavier content days, it will now be posted on the first Tuesday of each month. This way, Spot Talk stays focused on park news while Credit Roll gets its own spotlight.

I’m excited to share my 2025 Halloween Display, which I’ve called Spooks on Hidden Lake! A full walkthrough video will be coming soon. Since my daughter isn’t a big fan of super-scary setups, I made sure to keep it playful with a happy Halloween vibe instead of going full-on fright fest. Highlights include my custom-built 12ft Gallybagger and the brand-new Jack-O-Lantern Crate, which was such a fun DIY project. It turned out better than I imagined!
Don’t forget—Lagoon is making their big announcement today at 5 PM local time! This reveal is expected to give us the full picture of their 2026 addition, and the anticipation is running high. Outside of that, no major updates—just wishing everyone a safe and fun time as you head out to enjoy haunted houses, mazes, and Halloween festivities this month.
