For the first time in over a decade, Six Flags Over Georgia is skipping its annual Holiday in the Park celebration. While that means no dazzling lights, Christmas tree displays, or hot cocoa nights this winter, the park isn’t going quietly into the off-season. Instead, it’s rolling out a brand-new event — DC Heroes Fest — beginning November 9.
This bold shift marks a new direction for the park, as Six Flags focuses on expanding its most popular operating seasons while introducing fresh, family-friendly experiences. And what better way to close out the year than by celebrating the world’s most iconic heroes — both fictional and real?
Enter the DC Heroes Fest
DC Heroes Fest promises a power-packed event filled with energy, excitement, and a heroic sense of community. Guests can meet BATMAN™, SUPERMAN™, WONDER WOMAN™, THE FLASH™, and more across the park, with themed rides, live bands, and interactive entertainment that encourages everyone to “release their inner hero.”
The event goes beyond just comic book icons — Six Flags will also honor local heroes, including first responders, teachers, public health professionals, and military members. Expect special recognition days, live music, exclusive meet-and-greets, and even the Hero Run & Walk on November 22, a 5K that invites guests of all ages to celebrate courage and community.
Heroic Thrills Await
Of course, a Six Flags celebration wouldn’t be complete without thrilling rides. Guests can soar like the Man of Steel on SUPERMAN™: Ultimate Flight, battle evil in JUSTICE LEAGUE™: Battle for Metropolis, and spin through Gotham on BATMAN™: The Ride. For younger fans, attractions like The BATCOPTERS™ and WONDER WOMAN™ Flight School promise family-friendly fun.
While longtime fans may miss the glow of twinkling holiday lights this year, DC Heroes Fest looks ready to bring its own kind of sparkle — one powered by action, heart, and a celebration of heroism both on and off the page.
DC Heroes Fest runs November 9 through 30 at Six Flags Over Georgia. For updates and ticket information, visit sixflags.com/overgeorgia.
