Boogeyman is back once again for Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights for an all-new haunted house. This house, set for both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, will go back to the beginning and feature scenes recreated from director John Carpenter’s 1978 slasher film.
The guests will be transported to the infamous town of Haddonfield, Ill. on Halloween Night where Michael Myers wears a notorious mask to embark his brutal rampage for the first time. “As guests make their way through his dilapidated home and iconic scenes from the movie, they’ll narrowly dodge attacks from the knife-wielding Myers as he stalks their every move,” stated in the press release by Universal.
Halloween has been featured in haunted houses in past Halloween Horror Nights events, including the Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers in 2018 as well as Halloween: Hell Comes to Haddonfield in 2016, both in Orlando’s version.
Halloween is one of the most popular horror films of all time and to many fans, Michael Myers is the most feared killer in the horror movie history. He already scored over 120+ body counts.
Bringing Halloween back to Halloween Horror Nights is perfect as Universal Pictures is preparing to release “Halloween Ends” the latest installment for the Halloween Trilogy on October 14th, 2022.
Halloween is the second house announced for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. The other, Universal Monsters: Legends Collide, will be set in the 19th century and feature Dracula, Wolf Man and The Mummy.
There will be a total of 10 haunted houses for Universal Studios Florida’s version of Halloween Horror Nights, which will start on September 2. At Universal Studios Hollywood, where the event begins September 8, there will be eight themed houses. Tickets are already on sale for Orlando’s HHN while Hollywood will be available soon.
