September was pretty much a catch-up month, and I was able to watch a few new movies and rewatch some classics to share my reviews on. I also finished several season recaps. In the first edition, it was a combination of two to three months’ worth of content all rolled into one, but this is about the average I plan to keep going forward — two to four seasons and two to five movies per month. I think that’s a good balance to expect every edition.
Also, starting now, Roll Credit will officially be posted on the first Tuesday of every month. This new schedule helps space out the heavier content while keeping things fresh and timely. Since we’ve been spotlighting the shows and movies coming out during the current month, each post will now reflect that — meaning we’ll title it as the month of release rather than the previous one, to help avoid any confusion.
Anyway, let’s get to it!
We had a fun family night watching the live-action Lilo & Stitch. It’s definitely a cute reimagining. A few things were tweaked to fit the times, but I did miss Captain Gantu. I’ve heard a sequel is in development, which makes me excited to see where this version of Lilo and Stitch goes next.
Since spooky season is upon us, I revisited two of my favorite psychological thrillers: Cube (1997) and Exam (2009). Both are low-budget but high-concept films that will keep you thinking and guessing until the very end. Cube, especially, still hits hard with its mix of mystery and dread.
Reviews Posted This Month:
September was about finishing strong. I wrapped up three different series and I’m ready to dive into the next chapters.
Game of Thrones – Season 2: What a finish! Tyrion really stole the spotlight for me this season. On the flip side, King Joffrey continues to make my blood boil. The story is really ramping up and I can’t wait to jump into Season 3. Winter is definitely coming.
Twisted Metal – Season 1: Finally got around to recapping this! Now I’m ready to dive into Season 2 and see what chaos John Doe and Sweet Tooth stir up next.
Resident Alien – Season 1: What a hilarious gem of a show. I can’t believe I didn’t pick it up earlier. Too bad it’s ending after Season 4, but at least we can enjoy it while it lasts.

It wouldn’t be October without Freeform’s ultimate spook-fest. The network is back with its fan-favorite lineup of Halloween classics, from Hocus Pocus and The Addams Family to marathons of Tim Burton favorites and family-friendly frights. Whether you’re watching with kids or just reliving seasonal staples, 31 Nights of Halloween is always the perfect way to set the mood for spooky season.
One of my most anticipated titles is The Mandalorian & Grogu heading to the big screen next year. From what we know, it’s shaping up to be a cinematic extension of the series, with more of the Star Wars galaxy to explore. The trailer teases familiar faces, new planets, and a big-screen scale for Din and Grogu’s bond. I can’t wait to see where it goes.
Another big one is Zootopia 2. The trailer shows sarcastic red fox Nick Wilde and optimistic rabbit Judy Hopps struggling to adjust to working as police partners. It opens with a hilarious therapy session called “Partners in Crisis,” before shifting to their new high-stakes mission: tracking down a snake that may not be the villain they expect. It’s the first true feature-length follow-up to the billion-dollar 2016 hit, and it looks like Disney is bringing sharp humor, heart, and a clever twist to this long-awaited sequel.
Here’s a look at what’s next on my viewing list. Will I get to them all? That depends on life—but they’re in the queue.
