Sinners is officially heading to Halloween Horror Nights, and honestly, this one feels like it was made for the event.

Universal announced yesterday, May 21, that Sinners will be coming to both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood for Halloween Horror Nights 2026. The house opens Friday, August 28 in Orlando and Thursday, September 3 in Hollywood.

For Orlando, this is also the second haunted house announced for Halloween Horror Nights 35. The first big reveal brought back the icon energy with Jack and Dr. Oddfellow getting their own house, which already set the tone for this year’s event. That announcement felt like a love letter to longtime HHN fans. Now Sinners adds something fresh to the lineup, bringing in a modern horror film with blood, blues, vampires, and a completely different kind of atmosphere.

After seeing how much the film connected with horror fans, movie fans, and even people who normally do not rush out for vampire stories, this announcement makes a lot of sense. Sinners was not just another horror release. It became a major box office hit, earned serious awards attention, and gave the vampire genre something with real weight, style, and soul.

Now, HHN guests are going to step straight into that world.

The house will take guests back to Club Juke, the Mississippi Delta juke joint at the center of the film. What starts as a place of music, community, and celebration quickly turns into a nightmare when the vampires arrive. Guests will come face-to-face with Remmick, Bert, and Joan, along with familiar characters from the movie including Sammie, Mary, Annie, Pearline, Cornbread, and the twin brothers Smoke and Stack.

That setup alone is exciting because Club Juke already felt like it had haunted house energy on screen. It had mood. It had tension. It had that feeling that something beautiful was happening, but darkness was waiting just outside the door.

When I reviewed Sinners last year, I wrote, “Some movies haunt you long after the credits roll.” That still feels like the perfect way to describe why this house could hit differently at Halloween Horror Nights.

This is not just vampires jumping out from the shadows. At least, it should not be. Sinners works because the horror has meaning behind it. The movie uses vampires, music, history, grief, and survival in a way that feels bigger than a simple monster story. The scares are there, but the soul of the film is what makes it stick.

That is what makes me really curious about this house. How does Universal bring the music and atmosphere of Sinners into a live haunted house? How do they capture the heat, the rhythm, the tension, and the feeling of Club Juke closing in around you? If they get that right, this could be one of the most memorable houses of the year.

John Murdy from Universal Studios Hollywood said the team is looking at new ways to scare guests with this house, while Mike Aiello from Universal Orlando called Sinners an undeniable fit for Halloween Horror Nights. That is the part that has me excited. This does not sound like a simple retelling. It sounds like Universal knows this one needs to feel immersive.

For Orlando, this will be part of Halloween Horror Nights 35, which runs select nights from August 28 through November 1. Orlando will feature 10 all-new haunted houses, along with scare zones, live entertainment, street experiences, and more.

Over at Universal Studios Hollywood, Halloween Horror Nights begins September 3 and runs for a record 42 nights. Hollywood’s event will feature 8 haunted houses, the Terror Tram, scare zones, and more.

Along with the house announcement, Universal also released new Sinners merchandise. Fans can already grab a limited release t-shirt and hat inspired by the house. There is also an acrylic figure tied to the announcement, and guests can display the house reveals with the collectible Infernal Carnival display leading up to opening night.

That merch part is smart because Sinners already has a strong visual identity. The colors, the mood, the Club Juke setting, and the vampire imagery all feel like they belong on HHN merchandise. This is definitely one of those announcements where the shirt might sell fast, especially with fans of the movie and HHN collectors.

For me, Sinners joining Halloween Horror Nights is one of the strongest movie-to-house announcements in a while. It is current, it is popular, and it has a world that can naturally expand into a haunted house. The big question now is how far Universal will go with the atmosphere.

Will we hear the music pulsing through Club Juke?

Will the house feel more like a slow-building nightmare before the vampires attack?

Will Smoke and Stack’s story carry emotional weight inside the maze?

That is what I am hoping for.

Sinners was already a great horror film. Now it has a chance to become a great Halloween Horror Nights house too. If Universal can capture the film’s blend of blood, blues, history, and dread, this could easily become one of the most talked-about houses of HHN 2026.

The sun may rise eventually, but inside Club Juke, it sounds like we are going to have to survive the night first.
