On May 8th, 2025, LEGO and Pixar officially unveiled the LEGO® Ideas Luxo Jr. Display Model, a posable brick-built version of the beloved desk lamp that’s bounced its way into our hearts since 1986.
Launching June 1st and already up for pre-order, this 613-piece set is a nostalgic nod to Pixar’s roots, featuring a fully articulated Luxo Jr. and the iconic yellow Pixar ball. And get this—the ball opens up to reveal hidden Easter eggs inspired by Up, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Monsters, Inc., Toy Story, and Finding Nemo. It’s a mini Pixar museum packed into one whimsical display piece.
This isn’t just another licensed LEGO set—it’s a fan-made labor of love. Created by London-based LEGO fan Toby Brett through the LEGO Ideas program, the design won over 10,000 votes to become a real, official set. “Luxo Jr. perfectly sums up my love for Pixar,” Brett shared. “I spent a lot of time studying photos to make it as screen-accurate as possible.”
