Horror movie fans and gamers alike—prepare to scream. Universal Orlando Resort has officially announced that Five Nights at Freddy’s, the chilling animatronic-filled franchise that started as a video game and evolved into a blockbuster horror film, is coming to Halloween Horror Nights 2025.
While Universal has yet to reveal whether the experience will be a haunted house, an interactive walkthrough, or something entirely new, the mere inclusion of Five Nights at Freddy’s already has fans buzzing. Even more exciting? The attraction is confirmed for both Universal Studios Orlando and Hollywood, giving fans coast to coast the chance to brave the night with Freddy Fazbear and friends.
For the uninitiated, Five Nights at Freddy’s first debuted as a viral indie game where players survived nightly shifts at a haunted pizzeria. Since then, it has exploded into a multimedia phenomenon, capped by a hit movie distributed by Universal Pictures. The franchise’s eerie atmosphere and nightmarish animatronics make it a perfect addition to Halloween Horror Nights’ legacy of scream-worthy attractions.
Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 2025 kicks off earlier than ever—starting August 29 and running through November 2. Guests can expect a packed lineup that includes:
- Multiple haunted houses based on horror IPs and original concepts
- Immersive scare zones throughout the park
- Live entertainment
- Exclusive themed merchandise and food/drinks
As always, Halloween Horror Nights is not for the faint of heart—and this year, the presence of Freddy Fazbear guarantees a new level of fear.
Stay tuned for more details about the Five Nights at Freddy’s experience as Universal releases more in the coming weeks. Until then… don’t let the animatronics out of your sight.
