Raise your hand if you love a Disney parade—because there’s something truly magical coming to Walt Disney World this summer. First announced during D23 Expo, the highly anticipated Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is set to debut at Magic Kingdom on July 20, 2025. This brand-new nighttime parade invites guests to step into a glowing dreamscape filled with characters, color, and cutting-edge light and sound.

We’ve gathered all the details from Disney Live Entertainment to bring you everything we know so far about this spectacular new addition to the legacy of Disney parades.

When and Where Can You See “Disney Starlight”?

Magic Kingdom will become even more magical starting July 20, as Disney Starlight rolls down Main Street, U.S.A. under a sky full of stars. As a sneak preview, guests can catch a first look at the Disney Starlight poster, soon to be displayed at the Magic Kingdom train station.

A Merchandise Dream Come True

Of course, Disney has your nighttime parade look covered. Coming to Magic Kingdom this summer is a full collection of themed merchandise including:

  • A “Disney Starlight” logo t-shirt
  • Light-up Mickey Ears with a removable bow
  • A sparkling Disney pin
  • Cozy fleece throw blanket
  • A light-up bubble wand that syncs with the parade visuals

There’s even a limited-edition snack: a star-kissed popcorn mix available only at Main Street Confectionary. This sweet concoction includes Bubble Gum and Blue Raspberry Candy Popcorn, M&M’S® Milk Chocolate Candies, mini marshmallows, and a white chocolatey drizzle.

How Were the Floats Created?

Creating floats for a nighttime setting requires a unique blend of design and technology. Every float in Disney Starlight is built not just for spectacle—but for storytelling.

Lighting effects, curved LED screens, and synchronized animations help bring familiar Disney moments to life in vibrant and surprising new ways. For instance, the Encanto float uses LED animation to create motion, while the Blue Fairy herself is formed entirely from points of light.

Each float is a “dreamscape” designed to turn a moment into a moving memory.

The Grand Finale Float: A Starry Tribute

The finale float is a showstopper inspired by the beloved Main Street Electrical Parade. This dazzling train ride through the stars features:

  • Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and Daisy leading the way
  • Snow White and Dopey in a glowing mine cart
  • Rapunzel and Flynn drifting beneath a lantern-lit sky
  • Aladdin and Jasmine soaring on their magic carpet
  • Mickey and Minnie closing the parade in brand-new sparkling costumes

What Music Will Accompany the Parade?

Music is at the heart of Disney Starlight. The show features an original theme song, crafted specifically to capture the wonder of nighttime magic at Walt Disney World.

Expect sweeping melodies filled with emotion and surprises—classic Disney Parks tunes are hidden like Easter eggs within the score, waiting to delight longtime fans.

Rehearsals Are Underway

Behind every float is a dedicated team of performers, choreographers, and designers. Choreography led by Cindy Wilson blends film-inspired movement with parade-style performance, bringing the characters to life in rhythm with the light and music.

Every movement, every beat, every effect is carefully timed to create one seamless story across Magic Kingdom.

What Is “Disney Starlight” All About?

The parade tells a story of dreams and wishes coming true through the Blue Fairy’s magic. Each scene flows into the next through light, sound, and storytelling, covering characters and stories from across Disney’s legacy.

Created by many of the same minds behind SpectroMagic and Main Street Electrical Parade, Disney Starlight is both a tribute to the past and a bold leap into the future of nighttime entertainment.
