CoasterMedia Mid-Summer Update: What a Ride It’s Been So Far!

Casual check-in, creative momentum, and spooky plans ahead.

Can you believe we’re already halfway through summer? It feels like the season just started, but the parks are buzzing, the rides are rolling, and the snacks are melting just a little too fast in the sun. Wherever you’re traveling this summer, I hope you’re having a safe, fun, and thrilling time at your favorite theme parks—or discovering a few new ones along the way.

What’s been especially exciting this year is how nicely spaced out the new attractions and grand openings have been. It’s refreshing not to feel like everything is hitting at once, and it gives us all a chance to really enjoy each major moment across the parks.

CoasterMedia Is Picking Up Speed

You may have noticed—we’ve been dropping article after article lately. That’s not by accident. One of my personal goals for 2025 was to seriously ramp up my content here on CoasterMedia. Thanks to the help of AI tools, I’ve been able to generate blog articles faster than ever before. And it’s made a huge difference. Just check out the stats for the past three months (and we’re not even done with July yet!):

  • May 2025: 49 articles
  • June 2025: 53 articles
  • July 2025: 54 articles (so far!)

That’s more content than I’ve ever posted in any other 3-month stretch since starting my blogging journey in 2010. I’m really proud of the momentum and excited to keep it going.

Behind the Scenes: Website Updates

I’m still refining the website with newly built templates for different sections, so you’ll see things getting more organized and polished as we move along. It’s a lot of work, but I’m excited about the direction CoasterMedia is heading.

Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new or in progress:

🎃 Halloween Central

Halloween season is creeping up fast—with some haunts starting as early as the end of August. Halloween Central has been redesigned and is currently being fine-tuned. This section focuses entirely on spooky season, and we’ve already published 8 Halloween Event Guides with more to come. Each guide includes an overview, highlights, and direct links to the event’s official site for the latest info. Expect this section to grow quickly as more parks start rolling out their Halloween plans.

🎢 Theme Park Spot Talk

This has been on my wish list for a while—and I’m finally making it happen. Spot Talk is your weekly roundup of the top five stories from the theme park world, plus a Photo of the Week and Video of the Week. Down the line, I’d love to add upcoming events, quick reviews, and maybe even mini editorials. Feedback and ideas are very welcome as this section evolves.

🎬 Roll Credits: Monthly Edition

Starting August 1, Roll Credits will drop once a month with a rundown of all the shows and movies I’ve been watching—including reviews, thoughts, and what I’m looking forward to next. If you’re into TV and film, this will be a fun monthly snapshot of what’s worth watching (and maybe what’s not).

📸 Trip Reports Coming Soon

Trip reports take a little more time because I want them to be as visually rich as possible. I’ve got several drafts written, but I’m in the process of cleaning up and filtering all the photos. These reports will start rolling out soon, and I think they’ll be worth the wait.

🌟 What’s Next?

I’ve got even more ideas for CoasterMedia, but I’m pacing myself. One of the next big projects is preparing a Holiday Feature Section, similar to Halloween Central. I haven’t settled on a name for it yet, but I want it to showcase winter events, lights, shows, and festive happenings at parks across the country.

As always, your feedback is invaluable. Whether it’s about layout, content ideas, or ways to improve your experience here—let me know what you think!

Thanks for riding along with me this summer. There’s a lot more ahead, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
