Halloween is coming early to San Diego, and it’s arriving at full speed! SeaWorld San Diego is inviting runners, walkers, and Halloween enthusiasts of all ages to join the 2nd Annual Howl-O-Sprint 5K Run on Sunday, October 19, 2025 — a thrilling kickoff to the spooky season that blends fitness, fun, and festive frights.
The 3.1-mile course winds through SeaWorld’s iconic park grounds, offering a dynamic and immersive experience unlike any other local race. Participants can expect Halloween-themed surprises around every corner, from whimsical photo ops to eerie, entertaining characters along the route. With the park fully decked out for Howl-O-Scream and Halloween Spooktacular, it’s the perfect setting for a spirited morning of movement and merriment.
Something for Everyone — Even the Little Monsters
Back for its second year, the Kids Fun Run ensures the youngest Halloween fans can join the excitement. Tailored to be fun and friendly, this mini-run lets children get in on the festive energy with age-appropriate challenges and, of course, plenty of cheers.
Every participant — young or old — will receive:
- An official race shirt
- A timed race bib
- A custom finisher medal
- Eligibility for fun and fright-filled awards
Dress to Impress (Without the Mask)
Halloween costumes are highly encouraged! Show up in your ghoulish best or get creative with a silly twist — just remember, masks are not permitted during the event for safety reasons. From spooky skeletons to speedy superheroes, it’s a costume party on the move!
