The season finale of Super Mega Cakes blasts off with a wild and whimsical theme—Alien Invasion—and raises the bar one final time. In Episode 6, Duff Goldman and his team go head-to-head against challengers Andrew Fuller, April Julian, and Dill Barlow in a challenge that demands not only stunning visuals but also special effects and lighting. The judges—Amaury Guichon, Sherry Yard, and special guest Jack Osbourne—have the tough task of deciding who takes home the $10,000 prize and a spot in the final grand prize faceoff.

Duff’s cake leaned into sci-fi humor, channeling a retro flying saucer abducting cows, complete with animated movement and playful effects. It was classic Duff: creative, clever, and full of personality. The scene felt like a 1950s comic book come to life, with plenty of movement and a solid use of lighting to bring the story to the forefront.

Team Fuller took a bolder, darker route with a retro Roswell-inspired scene, combining eerie atmosphere with a cinematic quality that immediately caught the judges’ eyes. From the detailed alien creatures to the glow of the crashed spacecraft, every inch of their cake was packed with visual intrigue. The lighting and sculpting work added a layer of intensity and polish that elevated the entire piece.

While both cakes impressed with their technical and artistic elements, Team Fuller’s immersive alien landscape pulled ahead and secured them the win—and a place in the grand prize showdown.

But the excitement didn’t stop there. For the season’s final twist, all six winning teams returned for a fan-fueled faceoff, where 50 cake enthusiasts entered the arena to crown the ultimate Super Mega Cake. The battle boiled down to Team Timbo’s Atlantis Turtle and Team Henderson’s Goblin Shark Reef, two of the most talked-about cakes of the season.

In the end, it was Team Henderson who rose to the top, taking home the $40,000 grand prize with their underwater masterpiece that flawlessly combined storytelling, structure, and sea creature splendor. It was a well-deserved win and a fitting finale for a season packed with outrageous ideas, jaw-dropping designs, and unforgettable moments.

What a sweet season—and what a way to end it!
