If there’s one thing Universal Orlando Resort does exceptionally well, it’s keeping the excitement going all year long. With the release of the Universal Orlando Events and Experiences Guide, fans can officially start mapping out their 2026 vacations. The lineup is packed with returning favorites, milestone celebrations, and plenty of limited-time offerings that make every season feel special.

Whether you’re planning multiple visits or one perfectly timed trip, here’s a fan-friendly look at everything coming to Universal Orlando Resort in 2026.

Theme Park Experiences and Seasonal Events

Universal Orlando kicks off 2026 with a high-energy start as Rock the Universe returns to Universal Studios Florida on January 23 and 24. As Florida’s biggest Christian music festival, this event blends powerful live performances with access to the theme park, creating a weekend that’s equal parts inspiring and fun.

Not long after, Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval takes over from February 7 through April 4. This fan-favorite celebration fills Universal Studios Florida with colorful parade floats, bead-tossing excitement, live concerts on select nights, and one of the most diverse food lineups of the year. From global street food to classic New Orleans flavors, Mardi Gras season alone can justify an entire vacation.

As summer approaches, wizarding fans will want to keep an eye on Butterbeer Season, running from March 1 through May 31. Celebrating the iconic beverage, this limited-time event brings specialty treats, themed merchandise, and fun twists on Butterbeer that always feel like a must-do for Harry Potter fans.

Late summer and fall are where Universal truly shines. Back to Hogwarts runs from August 1 through September 1, marking the time when students traditionally return to Hogwarts in the Harry Potter stories. Expect festive details and special touches throughout The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Then comes the main event for horror fans. Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights returns for its 35th anniversary on select nights from August 28 through November 1. With haunted houses inspired by horror’s biggest names, immersive scare zones, live entertainment, themed food and beverages, and a milestone anniversary to celebrate, 2026’s event is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated in the event’s history.

Also returning in the fall is Dark Arts in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Guests can experience the Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle projection show in Hogsmeade and encounter roaming Death Eaters in Diagon Alley. It’s one of the most atmospheric seasonal offerings Universal delivers.

The year wraps up with Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort, running from November 14 through January 3, 2027. From Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to Grinchmas and Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, the entire destination transforms for the season. Add festive décor across all 11 hotels, seasonal food and merchandise, and New Year’s Eve celebrations, and the holidays feel anything but ordinary.

Fans can also look forward to the return of Volcano Bay Nights, giving guests the chance to experience the water park after dark. Dates and details will be announced later, but this event has quickly become a favorite.

Passholder Appreciation Days

Universal Orlando Annual Passholders get their own spotlight with Passholder Appreciation Days presented by Coca-Cola, running from August 15 through September 30. During this time, passholders can enjoy exclusive perks across the parks, hotels, and Universal CityWalk. It’s one of the best times of the year to be a UOAP, and new perks are typically revealed throughout the event window.
