Death Never Skips a Generation.

New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures are reigniting the chilling legacy of the Final Destination franchise with Final Destination: Bloodlines, set to premiere globally on HBO Max Friday, August 1, and on HBO linear Saturday, August 2 at 8:00 p.m. ET. For longtime fans and newcomers alike, the new installment promises a return to the franchise’s signature brand of supernatural suspense—this time with deeper family ties.

Directed by Adam Stein & Zach Lipovsky, with a screenplay by Guy Busick & Lori Evans Taylor, Bloodlines follows Stefani, a college student haunted by a violent recurring nightmare. Her only hope lies in returning home to confront her grandmother, Iris—the one person who may hold the key to stopping the deadly chain that’s destined to destroy them all.

The cast features a fresh new generation of talent, including Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Rya Kihlstedt, with Brec Bassinger and returning fan-favorite Tony Todd. Known for his chilling portrayal of the ominous William Bludworth, Todd’s presence ties this new chapter back to the franchise’s terrifying roots.

Produced by franchise veterans Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor, along with Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich, Bloodlines brings new mythology to a universe where fate is never random—and escaping death comes with a deadly price.

Before Bloodlines makes its TV premiere, HBO is hosting an all-day Final Destination movie marathon on Saturday, August 2, giving fans the perfect refresher—or initiation—into the death-defying saga. Here’s the full schedule:
