Universal Orlando reveal Summer Tribute Store

Today, Universal Orlando Resort just shared a first look at the facade of the store at Universal Studios Florida on social media.

The facade looks similar to a movie theater marquee.  With E.T. 40th Anniversary coming up, I’m wondering if they are going to do like a retro movie tribute to E.T., Jaws, BeetleJuice, Jurassic Parks, and more.  That would be a fun theme for this summer if they go with that direction.

Universal Orlando Resorts’ Tribute Store has become a staple store during Halloween Horror Nights.  Recently, it has becoming a staples throughout the different seasons like Mardi Gras, Halloween Horror Nights, and Holidays.  When you walk through the Tribute Store,  there are usually 3 – 4 themes room that brings the whole theme in exceptional experience in shopping.

If you remember last summer, Universal Orlando Resort had a tribute store that was dedicated to the VelicoCoaster, a new roller coaster, that opened last year at Universal’s Island of Adventure.  The Tribute Store was opened in advanced before the actual coaster was actually open.

Universal Monsters: A Tribute to the Creatures of the Night is still open as The Mummy is closed due to the long refurbishment.  The Mummy is expected to reopen sometime and expecting the Universal Monster Tribute Store to be close soon and bring back Sahara Traders back which is ancient Egypt theme store with focus on The Mummy attraction.

Universal has not announced when the new summer Tribute Store will open at this time.  I have a feeling it will be very soon based on the given pattern in the past few changes of Tribute Store.

I’m always looking forward to visit Tribute Store since there is no other parks that does this genius concept of a Tribute that focus just on the given theme for it.  It’s a great change of paces as this could be consider as a walk-thru attractions.
