Horror fans, get ready—because the machete is back. Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood are summoning one of the most iconic killers in cinematic history to this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. “Jason Universe,” an all-new haunted house inspired by the legendary Friday the 13th films, opens August 29 in Orlando and September 4 in Hollywood.
For 45 years, Jason Voorhees has loomed over pop culture as one of horror’s most enduring villains. Now, for the first time in years, guests will walk through the nightmare themselves as they enter Camp Crystal Lake—where the legend of Jason was born. From his ramshackle cabin to the decrepit campgrounds and foreboding forest, “Jason Universe” is a blood-soaked homage to the franchise that changed slasher films forever.
This terrifying maze will feature some of Jason’s most infamous kills, designed to unnerve even the bravest of Halloween Horror Nights veterans. With every creaking door, fog-drenched trail, and chilling scream echoing in the dark, guests will face the unstoppable force of vengeance that is Jason Voorhees.
Event Dates and Details
- Universal Orlando Resort: August 29 – November 2, across 48 select nights
- Universal Studios Hollywood: September 4 – November 2, on select nights
Both events will showcase 10 haunted houses, scare zones, live shows, and more terrifying experiences across the parks. Tickets and vacation packages are now available, including Express Passes, R.I.P. Tours, and Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tours.
Special savings are available for vacation packages at Universal Orlando, with bundle options including hotel stays, park access (including the brand-new Universal Epic Universe), and Halloween Horror Nights admission. For Hollywood, guests can select from multiple ticket types, including early access options and unlimited visit passes with the Frequent Fear and Ultimate Fear Passes.
“Jason Universe” Merchandise Now Available
In celebration of Jason’s return, exclusive merchandise is now available both in-park and online, including a themed t-shirt, collectible camping mug, and a “Jason Universe” puzzle piece for the Halloween Horror Nights collector’s frame. Starting June 14, items will also be available at Shop.UniversalOrlando.com.
